Verónica Gerber Bicecci. Los hablantes
The speakers, from the artist Veronica Gerber Bicecci (Mexico city, 1981), is an intervention and graphic research project that uses Venn diagrams, proper to Set Theory as a visual principle to talk about dialogue and conflict in a speakers community. The work is a rewriting, both formally and narratively, from EI Lissitzky's book About 2 squares. From the resources of graphic novels and comics, Gerber Bicecci proposes a reflection on the relationship between space, drawing, and language, and at the same time, she offers a meditation on the present and the significance of the “us” in a moment of great violence and social suffering.
Intemperie sur [South Outdoors] is a project in collaboration between Museo Amparo and Museo Universitario Arte Contemporaneo, UNAM that aims to generate a platform of visibility and inclusion for emergent cultural production, as well as provoke new flows of exchange between local and peripheral scenes. To this end, young artists from different regions of Mexico and abroad were invited to carry out site-specific projects on patios, in hallways, or on balconies of participating institutions, over the course of 2015-2016.
