This room gathers a sample of the wide variety of artistic techniques, creative purposes, craftmanship geographies, and periods, that allow us to glimpse the social and artistic complexity of New Spain and Independent Mexico.
Art works made of different materials such as ivory, silver, textiles, and wood, and with functions both profane and divine; each with symbolic contents from a different time, help the visitor find the tracks of the past, some with evident meanings and others still awaiting to be discovered.
